Having spent my entire career immersed in the arts, both as a visual arts teacher and an artist,

I have always done a lot of drawing and painting. The majority of my pieces are realistic depictions of my family, friends and familiar places.  Working from life in a fast, gestural manner gives me the greatest satisfaction, but I also enjoy using my imagination and having fun with my favourite colours.(Introspection and Misty are examples)

A workshop in portrait painting at the Academy of Realist Art in Toronto created a renewed interest in painting in oil ,which I now use primarily in my work.

I have completed a series of street works based on photographs taken on a trip to Scotland (Abandoned,Topiaries in Tobermory, Kids and Popsicles) and am currently experimenting with reworking selected pieces, using a more simplified approach.

I exhibit my work at the annual Riverdale Art Walk in Toronto and at several galleries in Northern Ontario.

I can be found most weekday afternoons at my studio, located upstairs in the Capitol Centre,

150 Main Street East, North Bay, Ontario P1B 1A8
